Reading this book was an awe-inspiring, transformative experience for me. The author's journey is one of hope for all of us. She brings us vividly into her world by sharing the joy of her life, with her son, and with others. She offers many examples of what she and Jacob call reframing - looking at an event in the past (or happening now) in a way that is different from old patterns. This is a very powerful tool!

One of my favorite teachings is that Nothing is being done TO us, but FOR us. (My emphasis) In other words, and I have really tried to bring this one into my life, everything that occurs, people being rude, or mean, cutting you off in traffic, losing your house, your job, your possessions, it is all happening FOR you to decide where you want to be in that experience.
